Food

My school lunch

We had delicious lunch at school today. The dishes were greasy, and not to boring. Although the school lunch was greasy sometimes, the food we had today was quite healthy. It was a hot noon and I almost lost my appetite, but I still had a lot of rice. I was so happy to have my classmate, Monica, help me fill my lunch box with rice.

How to order food in Kaohsiung

I learned how to order Meal in Kaohsiung Today. We went to the restaurant and sat down at the dinner table. We could see the pens and menus on the table. First, we wrote down our table number in the lattice. For example, Table 2. Table numbers were usually in the corner of the table. If I wanted to eat the meals, I painted a horizontal line in the small or large lattice. If I felt like not eating enough and I could write “Increase in rice” in the box of “Notes”. Then I sent menu to the counter. Some restaurants asked the customers to pay giving money first and then served meals. Some restaurants would serve first and you paid before you left.

Restaurant food

Today is saturday. My friends and I worked did the painting of school together.Saying honesty,it is very fun to do homework with friends at school on holiday.
When I was tired of painting a picture,I could chat with friends. Or we did sometimes bad things, such as secretly playing the computer game.Time flew and it was noon.We went to eat lunch. We went to a restaurant(Sell Noodle) for lunch.I ordered two packets of noodles, a cabbage. Why we loved this restaurant most? There were many comics! They even had the latest comic. It was very impressive. Finally, we returned to school to complete the picture.
That’s a wonderful day .

Department of Mechanical Drafting

Hello!
My name is Mr. Brownie. My friend, Cooky, Roy, study in Kaohsiung industrial high school. He would like to introduce me his department, Mechanical Drafting.

Our department office is behind us.

There are many courses that they have to studied, such as computer drafting, hand drafting and also how to operate the machine. There are also many hard-working teachers. They try their best to teach. Cooky really appreciates them. The students of the department also have many interesting activities here, for instance, welcome party and graduation party. They will perform at the parties. It always becomes a memorable memory. Cooky told me that they often under great pressure, but without that they couldn’t learn so many things. Although the schoolwork is difficult and heavy. They will accomplish their goals in the near future.

What we have learned.

I am living in Kaohsiung now. In the mechanical drafting department, there are many hard-working teachers, such as Mr. Li, Mr. Liu, Mr. Wu and Mr. Wei. They have a variety of characters. They have their own teaching styles, but they all try their best to teach students.

In my class, Mr. Li teaches mechanics. Mr. Liu teaches component-principle. At the same time, they also teach students perspectives of life. Sometimes, they tell jokes or share their own story of life.

I met these teachers and I learned many things including the outlook on life and some professional knowledge. Though they are strict to students, they are really concerned about students. I had a great time with these teachers. They are very kind and funny.

I walking on campus .There were many building and giant trees in the school .In department of Mechanical Drafting, I felt it very clean and comfortable .And there teachers are very earnest in teaching students .It was a great learning environment .
Which helps students learn .Students always clean up surroundings before leaving the school .Students are very lively in the Municipal Kaohsiung Senior Vocational Industrial High School .

Cooky also take some photoes with me. We have already known each other and become friends. We really enjoy the time when we get along . I believe I will learn their customs and have a wonderful trip here in Kaohsiung Industrial High school. The mechanical drafting department is full of joys and happy.

Post Nichol to America by Charlie

2010 / 04 / 14

Hello everyone! My name is Charlie. Today, Scott, Ziv, and I went to the post office to send our lovely teddy bear-Nichol, to America!

We walked to the post office; the weather was pretty hot because it was at 12:00 am! I was very nervous because it was my first time to send the bear. On the contrary, Ziv and Scott had had the experience about sending to Malaysia the bear called Mamat. At the post office, Ziv was writing the letter and documents, Scott was putting stuff in the packages, and I was taking photos! Ziv wrote the documents all in Chinese because he didn’t know much English vocabulary, and neither did I. This is why we join the project-to sharpen our English skills! There were two boxes of the packages: one enclosed snacks; the other one was Nichol and the Teddy Bear Diary. All the snacks came from all the classmates and Kay, who taught us English. Unfortunately, we didn’t enough time to keep the diary, so we hoped the friends from America, can finish it perfectly for us! After all, the packages cost us NT$3300, about US$100!

When we had the work done, I finally realize “Wow! So this is how we send the teddy bear!” I was surprised and pleasant. I’m glad to join the project, how about you? Do you enjoy it? The Answer might be “Yes!” But when will Nichol come back? I don’t know. What I know is when he comes back, he will share with us lots of stories, and so will I.

The Beginning of My Trip to Bergen County Technical School By Ziv

Today, it's an important day for me and my friends in Kaohsiung Industrial High School. I am not only happy but also sad. I am happy because I can travel all over the world and my first destination is America. I will bring with me Taiwanese local snacks and candies, my diary in which my classmates introduce me, my school life in Taiwan, and souvenirs for my new friends. The reason why I am sad is that I have to leave my friends and classmates in the Kaohsiung Industrial High School in Taiwan.

Today was a very busy day for Ziv, Scott, and Charlie. They had to walk to the post office at 12:00 pm and finish packaging and mailing me and my luggage by 1:00 pm. They had so little time that they left for the post office without having had lunch.

This is the first time in my life to take an airplane. Have you ever taken an airplane before? It seems quite luxurious, doesn't it? I'm very nervous to be sealed into a box and I'm very glad to ride on an airplane. So, thank you very much, Ziv, Scott and Charlie. This is my pleasure to have you set me off.

I'm very happy to meet you who study in Class B, second grade, mechanical drafting department in Kaohsiung Industrial High School. Because of you, I am able to travel all over the world. I will take good care of myself and keep the diary to share with you on the Teddy Bear Blog. Also, I will visit your blog often (http://kihs2010nicholas.blogspot.com/) to keep in touch you. Love you forever and ever.

Post Nichol to America by Scott

On April 14th 2010. Scott volunteered to post me to America. That's not the first time for Scott to join the Teddy Bear project to mail the bear abroad. So, he had more confidence that he could do it better. In the afternoon, Charlie, Ziv and Scott check my baggage and left for the post office. It was a little crowded when we at the post office. But we stayed in line patiently, and a few minutes later we brought two boxes to wrap me and my baggage in. My classmates prepared some local snacks including many kind of cookies and candies. I also brought a cell phone with me. Then I could always be in touch with my classmate in Taiwan. And when I arrive in America, I'll need the ID card to prove I'm from Taiwan. There were several documents about Kaohsiung Industrial High School. With them, I could introduce my birthplace to my new friends. I went to America by airplane. It was the quickest way. It was also very expensive, costing us NT$3300, But all the students of my class felt it was worth it.
